Well , The only thing that really matters, i think for the time in a long while we can say we're better than the Spuds, and its true.
I would not swap their team from ours, not one iota, We're defiantly Top 6 material, strength in depth, pace through out the team, Crunch and skill in midfield, and strikers who know where its at...

Interesting this thread. As I've said before, the mood has changed dramatically on WHO from the first half of the season. Up until Christmas, some were talking about it as the best squad for years and now, 3-quarters of them are shit.
Personally, I think we have a good first XI to choose, when all players are fit and good cover in a couple of positions but the depth isn't great overall and we need one or two to come in and give competition for places.

I can't help but wonder that BFS decided to play safe for the rest of the season, ie after the Chelsea game, to make sure we stayed up.
How different would our season be if we hadn't let in last minute goals to MU, Spuds, Stoke and Everton?
What would have happened if we didn't have AC available?

How sad that his tenure has ended in such a whimper. Shows he is not what he thought he was and I feel sorry for the idiots that appoint him at the next club.

We're about 2-3 places below where we should be.
8th-10th would have been a good season.
Yes, injuries (yet again) and a very tough run of games from the end of 2014 to March 2015 played their part, but we should have been able to pick up enough points since the second Chelsea game to have finished 8th or 9th.
Great first half of the season. Disappointing second half.

We're a mid-table team and it's got nothing to do with Allardyce. There's nothing wrong with that - someone has to be there - but what we do have going for us is the chance to grow. Even Tottenham cannot match our potential post-move. That's why this managerial appointment is crucial.

Taking into account money spent on transfers, wages inc the manager, squad, club size and attendances we should be above Stoke, Swansea and S'oton and well clear of Palace.
Unfortunately as we've seen last 2 seasons the manager has failed to get the best out of his squad and out of the money spent so we are where we are, should still be above Stoke and Swansea though but we are currently not as good as S'oton and def not as good as Spurs.

Ok so the general feeling on the thread is that we're now expected to finish between 5th - 8th...
For a 5th place finish you need around 72 - 62 points (going on the last decade)
That's about 18 wins - 20 wins!
The lowest placed 8th place has been 49 points, only twice in a decade.
Any other season usually 49 points would mean around 9th - 12th.
